Everything You Imagine ...
The political stuff has been bothering me so much lately that I sat at my computer last night and designed this chart with the television OFF. Normally I leave it on, because it helps break my close-up focus, to occasionally glance at the TV screen across the room.
Last night I just turned off the TV in disgust. I read for a while, and then looked through my quote collection till this quote jumped out at me. I designed the sampler around it. I had to do something creative to counterbalance the news, because passively watching my country hemorrhage money on programs nobody wants drives me absolutely nuts.
Happy stitching!
Remy

Talk with our son without cell phones, ipods, etc at a family meal. Go to lunch with a friend and laugh till our sides hurt. Go to a good library or bookstore and browse. Go to the theater when both the play and the seats are good. Stay home and do absolutely nothing.

Betty Lou,
Thank you for writing! I’m glad you found me, too.
Remy,
I discovered your site a couple of days ago, thanks to seeing “Your Life” on http://freebiegallery.blogspot.com/, and am so glad I did! We seem like kindred spirits with all we have in common–stitching, reading, Charles Krauthammer, and stress over the “political stuff” that’s trying to ruin our country. Trying to remain calm and hopeful about all that’s going on, I’ll enjoy visiting your blog for needed breaks from the news. You’ve helped me already.
