My Birdie Watcher

DSCN0371 Niggy is my cat.  She is the funniest cat I’ve ever known, and the most loving.  She has a beautiful animal soul.  It frustrates me that I cannot get a really good picture of her.  The other  cats photograph well, but Niggy seldom looks like herself on film.  Her coloring is Tortie coloring, but still unusual even for a Tortie.  Her white eyebrowsers and green and yellow eyes sometimes make her look like an owl or a Maurice Sendak creature.  On film she sometimes looks like an older cat, but she’s young. She also hates to be photographed.  If she sees me with a camera, she disappears like smoke in the wind.  Since taking pictures is one of my “obsessions” and Niggy’s antics are a frequent subject, this is a problem.

  1. Hi Daffycat,

I’ve had many cats in my life, but I’ve never had a Tortie pal before. They are positively the best cats! Niggy makes me laugh out loud every day … she is a true-blue character.

I love seeing reader’s comments. Thanks for writing!

  2. My Taco is a tortie and it cracks me up that your Niggy has a pink spot on her nose just like Taco’s! Sisters!

My old Daffy cat was a hard to photo cat too. If you pointed a camera at her she’d come straight for you. I can’t say how many photos I got of the tip of her tail!
