(Family word: originated when our son was a toddler, and became fascinated with the News Updates announced on TV. He’d yell, Updake! Updake! at the top of his lungs to make sure we all heard the news. He was so persistent that Updake! permanently entered the family lexicon!)
I have several designs in the works, but lately most of my free time has been taken up by stitching and reading. I don’t enjoy stitching as much when the weather is hot, so this summer was a designing bonanza for me. Now that it’s cooler, I’m stitching again. Downloading and customizing Needleprint’s Infinity Charts hasn’t hurt either! I love the Judith Hayle sampler!
Yahoo mail and Yahoo groups have been driving me crazy with conflicts that keep popping up, and I can’t seem to fix. I’m not sure if it’s them or it’s me!
We’ve almost finished painting the den, and although I’ve been using Fresh Aire, the No VOC paint, I have a sore throat once again from breathing whatever’s in there. It’s not as bad as the one I get from regular paint, but it’s annoying.
I’m delighted by the response to the Oak Nut Madness sampler!
I’ve been helping to edit a friend’s new book, and am blessed to witness the hand of God in his life. Especially in these times.
The big garden has finally petered out. I’m sort of glad that our squash-fiesta has ended! Being frugal is fine, and home-grown is healthy, but enough is enough with the squash!!!
Bella the kitten, and Nigella my shadow, have become great pals.
It’s fall, and I feel like baking pies!
