Does Your Cat Sleep on Your Head? Mine Does!

Niggy and Me Snuggling III 11 12 09

Does Your Cat Sleep on Your Head?

On a happier note, my hubby snapped Niggy and I taking a cat-nap this afternoon.  I woke up when he took the first shot, (this was the second) but Niggy remained in dreamland for a few seconds more, making wuffle nosies.  She likes to sleep CLOSE to me, or ON me.  Luckily, I can sleep through just about anything, even Niggy snoring in my ear.

Do you have a cat that’s attached at the hip?

  1. Many years ago I underwent 13 months of chemotherapy and was completely bald for about 18 months. My head was always cold except at night. My cat Spot would curl herself around the top of my head and sleep there all night. It was almost as if she realized my problem and took it upon herself to solve it. As soon as my hair grew out she stopped doing it.
We also have a beautiful tortie named Ginger. (along with 8 other poor little throw-away cats that we have adopted.)

    • Dear Jan,

Thank you so much or sharing this … it’s so beautiful and touching that Spot did that for you. Animals are quite wonderful, especially cats. All our cats are rescues also, and wonderful, funny, loving little creatures.

  2. I usually sleep with the cat snuggled up on one side and the dog on the other side. The dog is a little nervous of cats and will get out of bed it the cat gets on the dogs side!

  3. Dear Charlie,

Niggy and I thank you for your lovely comment!

  4. What a beautiful peaceful picture. You both look so happy together. I love our cat but my beautiful partner who is gentle and kind seems to attract the love of our rabbit and cat. Our cat sleeps next to his head at night. I think some people have an affinity with animals. Animals sense people and they are attracted to beautiful kind people.
