How to get my charts

I’ve received a few messages from stitchers who can’t get a chart from the blog.  The charts are all in the Shared Files widget on the right hand side of the blog.  They’re listed in chronological order, so, When you were a tadpole is right at the top of the list.  To save time and paper I’ve started printing my charts with colored symbols.  You can usually get a good idea of what the overall chart looks like by either (1) double clicking on the image of it on the blog itself and printing that out (you might have to set your printing parameters to 80% or less till the image fits on one page) OR  (2) just go with the image from the PDF in the Shared Files widget.  The chart for When you were a tadpole has eight pages, including the floss colors used and the stitches used.  Since you can change the viewing size on a PDF, you can easily view it at whatever size is easiest for you to see.

I think the trouble that some of you are having is from not downloading the pattern from the Shared Files widget.  That’s where the pattern, and its Keys are located, all in one PDF for the most recent patterns.  Older patterns may have two or more PDFs.  That’s a lot of paper to print out, so I’ve changed to the simpler, colored symbols presentation.

I’ve checked the  Shared Files widget and have downloaded the pattern for When you were a tadpole with no problem.  I’ve also checked my administrative panel on where the Shared Files widget originates, and there have been a number of downloads for that pattern, so I know that it’s working.  Try going to Shared files and downloading the pattern.  If you still have a problem, let me know.

Happy Stitching!

Comment obtenir mes tableaux
Si vous avez un problème, let me know.
Coutures heureux !

  1. Hi, Remy – it’s a great design. I think part of the problem is that the Craft Gossip link is directly to the snail post and your widget doesn’t show up that way. The widget only shows up with your complete blog link. Thanks for your

  2. Hello Birthe,
Thank you very much for your kind words! I really appreciate that you share information about my charts. Thanks also for giving the tip about having to scroll down to close the widget. Technology frequently frustrates me, but it’s wonderful when it works ; )

  3. I had trouble downloading the charts too. The problem was, that when a chart downloaded, the widget turned opaque, and clicking on it again didn’t do anything.
It was only by accident I scrolled down and saw the message “close widget”.
This message was not visible on my screen unless I did that.
I am moderator on a cross stitch board, and several members told me they had the same problem. When I explained what to to, they had no more problems.
That could also be what had happened to the people you are speaking about.
Thanks for your beautiful charts. I let them know every time you release a new one!
