Problem with Downloading Patterns
The Box Widget is now working fine. I couldn’t download anything last night either, so I changed my Theme, and reset the parameters of the Box Widget, and voila! Everything works! I don’t pretend to understand the technical reasons why these downloading glitches sometimes occur, but I know that there are multiple interactions between pieces of software. When you think about it, it’s rather miraculous that various software programs work together smoothly most of the time! When I get a moment I’ll check out the discussion boards on Box and WordPress to see if any similar issues that have occurred.
All the patterns are downloadable again, and do not contain viruses. I don’t understand why a virus warning would pop up, but I’ve experienced it myself once or twice in starting to download something elsewhere, and it turned out that there was no virus involved. Just to be safe, I recommend just pre-scanning the item, or downloading it to a special folder on your desktop where you can easily scan it before moving it to wherever you store your patterns.
11/21/11 Hi! I’m working on the Box.net download problem. I’m sure that there’s no virus, but I’m scanning everything . Hope to have it all fixed by tonight.
